The Socially Distant Social Learning Club

I will be creating some free online Zoom classes for kids ages 10-18! It will be structured like a club—casual and fun! I would love to offer   a 2-week, 6 class, beta version to 10 Wrightwood students, but if you’re family or just interested please PM me, I can be flexible.

Announcing The Socially Distant Social Learning Club!

This will be an enrichment program to add on to children’s already exisiting curriculum in school during Covid-19. Parents are also welcome to sit and enjoy.

 HONORS THESIS

I’m excited to announce that I have been accepted into Stanford’s Graduate School of Education’s Honors program.

While my Honors Thesis is not yet completely refined, I plan on researching how social institutions such as school, prison, and the workplace shape   individual neurosciences and behavior.

The project will have a holistic view of the lifespan, consisting of research on early experiences shaping neuroplasticity, to the effects of aging, careers’   impact on creativity and output in the modern world, as well as the United State’s current prison system and the correlation between death row inmates   and extensive brain trauma to the prefrontal cortex as found by Robert Sapolsky.

Stay tuned as I share my progress in the coming months.

 NeURO FELLOWSHIP

Go research! I have been selected as an inaugural fellow for Stanford’s new Neuroscience Undergraduate Research Opportunity with Wu Tsai   Neurosciences Institute!

This summer, I am working in the Levin Lab, a nuclear medicine engineering lab that specializes in PET imaging. I’m excited to get my foot in the door.     Make sure to check back to check-in on my progress!

 EDUCATION RESEARCH

During this tumultuous time, I have been thinking about my family and friends in the education community. This has been a disruptive time for many.       I’m curious to get your opinions on some topics I myself have been curious and concerned about. This poll is designed for all kinds of educators,   specialists, and retirees in the education community as well as parents now very involved in their child’s/children’s daily formal education. Please feel  free to share with friends.
